After dominating the Miss Jamaica World 2010, Yendi went on the compete in the Miss Universe for the title.

The final decision was between Miss Jamaica Yendi Phillipps and Miss Mexico Jimena Navarrete

The event was held at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada on August 23, 2010.
